Konstantinos Mitsakis is an established newspaper and magazine travel writer. He graduated as a cycling coach from the University of Athens Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Science; he has also attended photography seminars. For the last 25 years he has been traveling on motorcycle in Greece and abroad. Five continents, 1,200,000 kilometres and 105 countries have been recorded in his “logbook”. From 1995 to 2000, he wrote for the “2Trochoi” (2 wheels) motorcycle magazine (Technical Press SA), and from 2000 to 2011 for the “0-300” motorcycle magazine. In the years 2005-2006, he contributed to the “Periigiseis” supplement of Imerisia newspaper. Since 2008, he writes for the travel insert of the Ethnos tis Kyriakis Sunday newspaper. Until January 2011, he was a collaborator to the “Explore Greece” travel guides. Since 2001, he has published 12 Greek travel books with Tsallis editions: “On the Roads of the World”, “On the Footsteps of Alexander the Great”, “25 Greek Itineraries”, “On the Roads of Asia”, “On the Roads of Africa”, “On the Roads of America”, “On the Roads of Australia”, “On the Roads of Europe”, and “A Balkans Travel Guide”.
In 2008, within the framework of the Beijing Olympics official events, he organized the “Olympic Silk Road”, a mission of two cars and one motorcycle that traveled from Athens to Beijing.
