Antonios Dikaios graduated from the Faculty of Theology of the University of Athens. After a two-year academic programme of postgraduate studies in environment and ecology, he obtained a PhD in Environmental Studies at the Faculty of Social Studies of the University of Aegean. He is the author of several books and articles in reviews and newspapers on topics related to the Greek Orthodox Monasteries as historical and cultural monuments. He also wrote and supervised as a scientific advisor a series of books about the ethno-cultural identity of the Greek people (Ethnos tis Kyriakis newspaper).

From 1996 to present day he is Secretary of the Administrative Board of the Charity and Educational Foundation “Artos Zoes”. Between 1986-1989, he followed postgraduate studies in the Universities of Geneva and Freiburg in Switzerland. He specialized in issues related to the correlation between religion and culture. During his studies, he served as coordinator in the Annual Seminar of Orthodox Theology in the Ecumenical Institute of Bossey in Geneva, and participated in many conferences and seminars of the World Council of Churches (WCC).

In 1994 he was appointed professor in a Public High School and he teaches courses in religion, history and geography. Since 2004, he is working on the implementation of teaching programs about Environment and Sustainable Development for Adult Education and Lifelong Learning in a Second Chance School. The subjects he specializes in are directed primarily towards the relation between religion and natural environment in a variety of interrelated areas. He conducts research on the issues of the demography and the urban agglomeration of the Greek lands and the management of natural resources in the Greek historical landscapes.
